Simon Battams, the roofer behind S&K in Lancing.
S&K Roofing Specialist is Simon Battams, a roofer based in Lancing who has spent his working life on the roofs of Worthing, Shoreham-by-Sea, Brighton and Hove and the West Sussex coast.
One roofer, every job his own.
Simon started on the roofs over twenty years ago and has never done anything else. Tiling, slating, flat roofing, GRP, leadwork, chimneys, fascias, soffits and guttering, all learned the proper way and all still done by him.
S&K is a sole trader, which means the person who quotes your roof is the person who turns up to do it. No sales team, no subcontracted strangers, and no passing the blame if something needs coming back to. Most work comes from recommendation, from homeowners, landlords and the builders and property owners Simon has worked alongside for years.
The 4.8 star Google rating from 26 reviews is not a marketing number. It is the same people, telling other people.

Four things you can count on.
He turns up
When he says he will. If the weather changes the plan, you hear about it first, not last.
He tells you the truth
If it is a repair, it is a repair. Nobody gets sold a new roof they do not need.
He does it properly
Materials that suit the house, lead dressed by hand, edges detailed right, site tidy every evening.
He shows you
You cannot see your own roof from the ground, so every job ends with photos sent to your phone.
